Apex Legends by chance nerfed its gassiest heroes
Apex Legends' new assemblage event seems to have unintentionally screwed over the game's smokiest legends, prompting Respawn to investigate exactly what happened to the game's personal effects.
Finally week's Chaos Theory ingathering event arrived with a unexampled patch which, among other things, changed the way smoke effects like Bangalore's sens grenades or Caustic's gun vents are rendered. Unfortunately, it's now quite easy to spot players through the becloud, making those abilities in effect useless.
Replying to concerned Redditors, lead gage designer Daniel Klein expressed that this wasn't an intentional nerf to Bangalore and Conscientious objector.
"We're investigating what happened here," said Klein. "On that point was a change to the underlying VFX that we ready-made with optimisation in mind. The goal was to have IT look identical to what was there ahead, but apparently that's not what happened."
A fix is currently in the workings, though Calvin Klein doesn't induce an exact timeframe for when to have a bun in the oven it. On the upside, a mend repayable to arrive today will fix a laundry list of issues, including an exploit that lets you use the game's newly heat shields indefinitely.
Mary Jan issues notwithstanding, Emma reckons Vertex has been absolutely killing it with the content drops of late—career Season 8 a turning manoeuver for Respawn's battle royale. There's probably never been a major fourth dimension to drop in. Just, erm, don't swear on Bangalore's skunk grenades to set out you out of a pinch for the moment.
